CLASSIFIED MISFIT DOSSIER · EXPERIMENT 002
The Howl-O-Ween Misfits | LilTuki Tales
Some monsters are born to terrify the world. Others are terrified of their own reflection.
Deep within the thunder-scorched rafters of Spires Claw Laboratory, the notorious Dr. Franken-Fur was preparing to unveil his greatest creation yet.
A reanimated Chihuahua stitched together with questionable science, extraordinary ambition, and enough lightning to illuminate the Eastern Seaboard.
He was designed to strike fear into the hearts of the living.
Unfortunately, nobody thought to warn him about mirrors.
Lock your doors. Protect your ankles. And whatever you do, cover the reflective silverware.
Because Experiment 002 has awakened.
And he’s already having a nervous breakdown.
Meet Frankenshiver: The Lean, Green, Trembling Machine
MISFIT FILE 002 · CLASSIFICATION: REANIMATED CHIHUAHUA
- Official Name: Frankenshiver
- Affectionate Nickname: Shtinie (used by Dr. Franken-Fur, usually when exasperated)
- Biological Blueprint: Chihuahua — reanimated, heavily stitched, and spiritually agitated
- Official Designation: The Lean, Green, Trembling Machine
- Occupation: Professional Abomination. Part-Time Nervous Wreck.
- Greatest Achievement: Survived his own reflection. Once. Barely.
- Known Weaknesses: Mirrors, sudden drafts, thunderclaps, floorboard creaks, ceiling fans, his own shadow, and unexpectedly shiny soup spoons.
- Threat Assessment: OMEGA CLASS APOCALYPTIC — self-evaluated and applicable exclusively when safely concealed beneath a blanket.
Documented Supernatural Abilities
Tectonic Trembling: Capable of generating vibrations measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale through sheer existential dread. The laboratory seismograph has requested a transfer.
Blind Ankle Mortar: Launches high-velocity defensive attacks against unsuspecting socks, shoelaces, and ankles. Accuracy remains questionable. Enthusiasm does not.
Blanket Bivouac Growl: Produces a low, demonic snarl of remarkable intensity. Unfortunately, the effect is somewhat diminished when muffled beneath a floral duvet.
Delusions of Monstrous Grandeur: Subject sincerely believes himself to be the most formidable predator ever assembled.
This belief persists despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Incident Report 002: The Reflection Catastrophe
Dr. Franken-Fur had spent three grueling months and the laboratory’s entire discretionary budget engineering what was supposed to be the ultimate apex predator.
The recipe was flawless.
A towering, neon-green flat-top. Reinforced combat boots. A brutal steel-link collar. Heavy-duty stitching. And enough raw voltage siphoned from the storm clouds to power the Eastern Seaboard.
There was only one minor oversight.
The doctor had neglected to install courage.
With a cackle that rattled the test tubes, Franken-Fur threw the master switch.
Sparks showered the operating table. Arc lights hummed. Pneumatics hissed.
Slowly, deliberately, two enormous Chihuahua eyes blinked open against the gloom.
“IT’S ALIVE!”
The doctor flung his arms toward the skylight.
“BEHOLD! MY ULTIMATE AGENT OF UNHOLY HAVOC!”
For five glorious seconds, triumph hung heavy in the ozone-soaked air.
The creature sat upright.
His tiny chest expanded.
His jagged green flat-top crackled with residual electricity.
A low, menacing growl rumbled from somewhere deep within his two-pound frame.
Dr. Franken-Fur trembled with anticipation.
At last!
A monster worthy of his genius!
And then…
The creature turned his head.
Across the laboratory stood an antique, full-length mirror.
Inside that mirror stood something absolutely horrifying.
Something green.
Something stitched.
Something with enormous ears and a deeply unpleasant expression.
Something that was staring directly back at him.
Frankenshiver froze.
His ears pinned flat against his skull.
His lower lip began to quiver.
A faint, rhythmic clicking echoed through the laboratory as his oversized combat boots knocked together.
The clicking became a rattle.
The rattle became a violent, full-body vibration.
And then—
“AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!”
The shriek shattered two beaker racks, blew an auxiliary transformer, and caused Dr. Franken-Fur to deposit three ounces of freshly brewed coffee directly into his own lap.
Before the echoes had faded, a tiny green blur launched itself from the operating table, scrambled up the doctor’s trousers, and burrowed beneath his laboratory coat.
Two enormous eyes peeked out from behind the lapel.
“WHAT IN HADES’ FIRE IS THAT HIDEOUS LITTLE GOBLIN?!”
The doctor looked at the mirror.
He looked at the trembling lump beneath his coat.
Then he looked back at the mirror.
He closed his eyes.
Pinched the bridge of his nose.
Counted to three.
“That,” he said through clenched teeth, “is you.”
Silence.
Frankenshiver slowly emerged from the coat.
He studied the mirror again.
The monster stared back.
Frankenshiver narrowed his eyes.
The monster narrowed his eyes.
He raised one tiny paw.
The monster did the same.
His jaw dropped.
“HE’S MOCKING ME!”
Dr. Franken-Fur made a sound somewhere between a sigh and a small electrical failure.
“Shtinie. That’s your reflection.”
Frankenshiver recoiled.
“MY WHAT?!”
“Your reflection!”
Another long silence.
Then, in a voice barely above a whisper:
“…Can you tell him to stop looking at me?”
The doctor stared at his creation.
Three months.
An entire research grant.
Forty-seven failed lightning experiments.
And the most advanced application of reanimation science ever attempted on a Chihuahua.
He had created a monster.
A monster who needed his emotional support blanket.
Laboratory Addendum 002-B: The Mirror Ban
Filed by: Dr. Franken-Fur
Subject: Frankenshiver, A.K.A. Shtinie
Incident Classification: Extreme Self-Inflicted Fright
Following the Reflection Catastrophe, Experiment 002 submitted Form 104-B requesting the immediate removal of all mirrors, polished glass, chrome fixtures, reflective doorknobs, and stainless-steel soup spoons from Spires Claw Laboratory.
The petition was denied.
Seventeen minutes later, the subject was discovered hiding inside a spare laboratory slipper.
When approached, he issued the following warning:
“I AM NOT TREMBLING! I AM VIBRATING WITH UNFILTERED, LETHAL RAGE!”
The warning was accompanied by a high-pitched growl, three involuntary sneezes, and an unfortunate encounter with his own shadow.
Laboratory assessment: Subject remains convinced that his reflection is a hostile intruder.
Recommended treatment: Gradual exposure to reflective surfaces.
Treatment outcome: Doctor bitten twice. Mirror unharmed.
Behind the Monster: Why Frankenshiver Is a Chihuahua Through and Through
For all his lightning-powered theatrics, towering Frankenstein haircut, and oversized combat boots, Frankenshiver suffers from one fundamental design flaw.
He’s still a Chihuahua.
A tiny dog with an enormous opinion of himself, an even larger sense of personal danger, and absolutely no intention of backing down from anything.
Unless it moves.
Or makes noise.
Or resembles him.
His greatest contradiction is also his greatest charm: Frankenshiver genuinely believes he’s a terrifying monster.
And somewhere beneath the trembling, the dramatic growling, and the occasional attack on unsuspecting footwear, there beats the heart of one fiercely loyal little dog.
He might hide behind Dr. Franken-Fur when danger approaches.
But if anyone threatens the doctor?
Well…
He’ll probably bark at them.
From behind the doctor’s legs.
Very aggressively.
And that’s precisely what makes Shtinie one of the Howl-O-Ween Misfits.
Not because he’s the monster the doctor intended to create.
But because he’s wonderfully, spectacularly, unmistakably himself.
The Doctor’s Final Observation
EXPERIMENT 002 — STATUS: ACTIVE
Laboratory Conclusion: Creation technically successful. Psychological stability questionable. All reflective surfaces remain under investigation.
Dr. Franken-Fur has officially classified Frankenshiver as a catastrophic disappointment with surprisingly sharp teeth.
Privately, however, the doctor has begun keeping a small blanket beside the operating table.
Strictly for scientific purposes, of course.
One scientist. Too many monsters. Absolutely no obedience training.
Meet the Rest of the Howl-O-Ween Misfits
Frankenshiver is only the second experiment to escape the questionable genius of Dr. Franken-Fur.
There are more creatures lurking within Spires Claw Laboratory, each with an extraordinary ability, a catastrophic flaw, and an unfortunate amount of ordinary dog behavior.
Explore the Howl-O-Ween Misfits and their classified character files.
And if Shtinie’s trembling little face looks suspiciously familiar, explore the Little Monsters Club Halloween dog gifts and designs.
One final question:
If your dog met their own reflection in a dark laboratory, would they bravely investigate… or declare war on the mirror?
End of File 002.
