Year of the Horse 2026: When Tuki Learned to Run Like Thunder

There are moments in every little legend when the world seems too large.

The road stretches farther than expected.
The sky feels wider than courage.
And even the smallest hero has to decide whether to stay still…

    or move.

For LilTuki, the Year of the Horse 2026 felt like the perfect beginning.

Not because Tuki is a horse.

    Far from it.

    Tuki is little.
    Bright-eyed.
    Full of opinions.
A Yorkie with the kind of spirit that enters a room before his paws do.

But that is exactly why this first art print matters.

Because sometimes the boldest motion does not come from the largest creature.

Sometimes it comes from the little one who refuses to be overlooked.

The Year Tuki Found His Gallop

The Horse has always carried the feeling of motion.

    Freedom.
    Instinct.
    Momentum.
A heart that does not wait forever at the gate.

And when 2026 arrived with the energy of the Horse, it felt less like a calendar year and more like a starting bell.

For Tuki, it became a symbol of something bigger than size.

A reminder that courage does not always stomp.
Sometimes it trots in with tiny paws and a mighty little chest.

The artwork imagines that feeling in full motion — Tuki surrounded by warmth, power, and cinematic energy, as if the whole world has caught fire behind him and he has decided not to run away from it.

    He runs forward.

    Not perfectly.
    Not quietly.
    But fully.

    A Small Dog With a Horse-Sized Heart

Anyone who has ever loved a Yorkie knows this truth:

They may be small, but they do not seem to know it.

They carry themselves like guardians, performers, royalty, comedians, and tiny commanders of the household all at once.

That is the soul behind this piece.

The Year of the Horse print is not just zodiac-inspired artwork. It is a little tribute to every small dog who has ever acted like they were born for a grand adventure.

The ones who stand at the window like castle guards.
The ones who bark at danger three times their size.
The ones who follow us from room to room as if protecting the entire kingdom.
The ones who make our ordinary days feel touched by story.

    Tuki belongs to that world.

A world where a Yorkie can become a rider of flame, a keeper of courage, and the spark that begins an entire collection.

Why This Became the First LilTuki Art Print

Every creative world needs a first doorway.

For LilTuki, this print became that doorway.

It carries the feeling we want the brand to hold going forward:

character, warmth, imagination, motion, and a little bit of mischief.

It is not just a decorative piece. It is the first glimpse into what LilTuki is becoming — a place where pets are not treated like accessories, but like little legends with stories worth framing.

This print marks the beginning of that idea.

    A beginning filled with movement.
A beginning with fire behind it.
A beginning led, of course, by a very determined Yorkie.

For Yorkie Lovers, Zodiac Dreamers, and Keepers of Little Legends

This piece was made for the person who sees more in their pet than a cute face.

It is for the Yorkie lover who knows that attitude can be adorable and heroic at the same time.

It is for the zodiac collector drawn to symbols of motion, courage, and independence.

And it is for anyone who believes that art can hold a little story — the kind you smile at every time you pass it on the wall.

The Year of the Horse 2026 may belong to the Horse.

But in the LilTuki world, Tuki found his own way to gallop.

    Tiny paws.
    Big heart.
    Full speed into the story.

A Fiery First Step Into the LilTuki World

This is where the first print begins.

    With motion.
    With courage.
With a Yorkie who never asked whether he was big enough.

    He simply moved.

And sometimes, that is where every good adventure starts.ourney.

About (the artist) Ani (The “Why” Behind liltuki.com)

My name is Ani, and for 17 years, my world was colored by the spirit of a tiny Yorkshire Terrier named Tuki.

    Behind the Art

They say that when you lose a piece of your heart, you have two choices: you can let the hole stay empty, or you can fill it with something beautiful.

For 17 years, my “something beautiful” was a tiny Yorkshire Terrier named Tuki. He was my shadow in the Sultan forests, my navigator on the Puget Sound, and the “real boy” who saw me through every season of life. When we said goodbye in late 2024, the silence in our home was deafening.

But Tuki was never one for silence. He was a dog of “Yorkie-tude,” vibrant energy, and a wiggle that brightened the darkest room. To honor that spirit, I made a promise: I would turn my grief into art.

    More Than Just a Website

LilTuki.com is the fulfillment of that promise. While our dedication shares the full story of Tuki’s journey from a blue blanket on a ferry to his final rest in our wildflower garden, this blog will be the living, breathing extension of his legacy.

Through this site, I invite you to join me as I:

    • Share Original Artwork: Every piece I create from actual photos with a twist of imagnation is dedicated to the tenacious, loving spirit Tuki embodied.
    • Tell PNW Stories: From hiking the Cascades to life in Sultan, I’ll share memories of our adventures that I hope inspire you to explore with your own pups.
    • Celebrate the Yorkie Community: Tuki had a way of making strangers smile. I want this to be a space where we celebrate all the “Pinocchios” out there.

    Walking a New Trail

Tuki taught me that even the smallest legs can climb the biggest mountains. As I launch this site, I am walking a new trail—one without his physical shadow by my side, but with his light guiding my heart and my imagination.

Thank you for being here. Whether you found us because you love Yorkies, you love the Pacific Northwest, or you’ve recently had to say goodbye to a best friend of your own—you are welcome here.

This is for you, Tuki. Let’s make something beautiful.
